Campaign: Media Summary & Workflow Summary Tabs (Re-designed)
This release includes some design improvements for the Campaign record on the Media Summary and Campaign Plan tabs. This is relevant to organisations that utilise Media Planning in Advvy.
The Media Details tab has been updated as follows:
- 4 Grids of data “General”, ”Fees”, ”Media Types”, ”MBAs”
(previously had 5 Grids of data – General, Fees, Media Types, Flightings & Chart moved to
Campaign Plan tab) - Renamed tab to “Media Summary”
Note: MBAs section is new to Media Summary and requires assistance by Advvy to set it up before it can be used.
More information about MBA setup is outlined below.
The Campaign Plan tab has been updated as follows:
- Added a ”Media Chart” grid
- Added a ”Flightings Summary” grid
- Enhanced the Campaign Plan Gantt so it can switch the view from gantt to grid (list table)

Toggle the Campaign plan from a Gantt view (Calendar) to a Flighting Data view (Table) by
- Selecting the […] button
- Selecting “Show As”
- Selecting “Read Only Grid”
Campaign: Details – Mandatory Fields Date Fields
When creating a new campaign the Start and End Date are now a mandatory field. This is to assist in supporting Workflow pacing and ensuring workflows are displayed as intended.
Campaign: Significant Date field
An additional date field has been updated to provide an extra milestone point for a Campaign. This Significant Date can be used as a marker for a key date that might fall within the campaign period, or at any other point in time.
This Significant Date has also been added as a marker when creating Workflows. Workflow Stages and Tasks include a Milestones grid where the timing of stages and tasks can be marked against a date field.
Projects & Project Workflow (New)
Advvy has extended the existing media workflow capabilities for Campaigns into a new record type “Projects”.
Similar to Campaigns, Projects consist of start and end dates, are attached to a Client and require a workflow,
however projects don’t have the campaign overheads (ie there are no media budgets etc).
Some of the Project features include:
- Projects can be used for client based work or for other internal organisation work that would benefit from a
workflow process with tasks that can be assigned to users and roles. Simply add a new ‘Client’ such as
internal departments or Teams that are related to the Project. - Projects honour security rights for visibility only to users who are members of the client team (as per
campaign). - Project Tasks will appear along with any Campaign tasks in the Advvy Activities lists for a user.
To Create a new Project:
- Navigate to the Projects menu and select [+New].
- Enter the mandatory information such as Name, Start date, End Date, Client and Workflow.
- Select [Save] to initialize the project record and build the workflow activities, roles and due dates.
Any workflow can be attached to a Project. Project workflows can also be designed in the same area as Media
Workflows in Advvy Settings. When designng a project workflow, the process is exactly the same as a campaign
workflow- however you can also specify the workflow as a Project Type (default is Campaign type).
Note: Project will not display in the “Campaign Health Dashboard”

Campaign Task: Effort Logging (Beta)
Introducing Effort logging for Tasks. This functionality is currently in Beta and will undergo changes in future
releases until it becomes part of the Advvy Core product.
Effort Logging (beta) is available for use on current Workflow Activities/Tasks.
Users can log time against a task, as one or more entries and this effort will be counted towards the campaign in
effort reporting (coming soon).
To log effort against a task:
- Navigate to a Campaign, Workflow Activities tab, and select a task (double-click to open the details).
- Select the Effort Logging Tab and then Select [+New….] to display the popup.
- By default it will have a 1 hour time period from the current moment. Adjust start and end times to meet
your effort hours and then select [Save and Close]. - The effort is recorded against the task.
Workflow Activities now also have an additional ‘Effort’ field to allow you to specify how many hours a particular
task is estimated to take.
Coming soon: The workflow estimation of Effort and the
Activity Effort logging will be included in a report that will compare forecast vs actual effort. This may be useful for clients that require head hours calculations, or the tracking of user time to provide further insight into how long internal processes take to be executed.
Campaign Media: Create MBA (Beta)
The Media Summary tab in a campaign contains a grid to capture created MBAs. The MBA data is collected from a
synced Media Schedule that is stored in Advvy as media type summary data and the flighting data.
On the Ribbon bar is a new button called Create MBA where you can then select ALL or parts of the available synced
media data to be included on an MBA template.
There is some preliminary setup required for the MBA process to work. Speak to us about setting up you
environment for MBAs.
Setup steps:
NB: MBA’s can be customised per client or you can have a single Master template design
- Create a Document Template shell (Advvy).
- Style the Template format in Word with Advvy Fields & Calculations (ref Microsoft how to for document
templates) (You). - Connect Document template to “MBA Create” function (Advvy).
Generating an MBA
Once your MBA template has been added to your Advvy environment, the Create MBA button can be used to
generate MBAs.
When an MBA is generated using the Create MBA button, it will appear as a note on the MBA tab.
Doc can be manually downloaded.
Additional option: Advvy can deploy a flow that will move the MBA record into the Documents tab of the campaign.
Platform: Notification flows (Beta)
The system can now send notifications when the following events occur:
- Daily Assigned & Overdue task list
- When you are Assigned a Task
- When a Task you are assigned to is ‘completed’ by someone else.
- Interested Tasks Update (when it’s closed) – when you have been manually marked as an interested
user on a Task
Notifications are controlled via Advvy Supplied Flows and can be set as a Teams notification or an Email notification. To enable these flows, Admins should send a Request to Advvy to have these flows deployed to your environment.
