Ad Hoc Tasks

Ad Hoc Tasks are used to add a standard activity to a workflow. Ad Hoc Tasks are best used when you need to add an additional activity to a workflow at the campaign level, it is especially important to create Ad Hoc Tasks if you want to keep a record of the work that you are doing.

Ad Hoc Tasks have all the same functionalities as standard tasks.

To create an Ad Hoc Task, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Campaigns Section of Advvy.
  2. Click into the Campaign you want to edit.
  3. Click on Workflow activities.
  4. Click on the Actions
  5. Click on +New Advvy Activity. (This will open up the activity form.)

You can re-name your Ad Hoc activity.

Ad Hoc activities will be assigned to the user creating them by default.

However, the assigned user and the assigned role can be changed. By default the start date will be the date that the Ad Hoc Task is being created and the due date will be the following day.

When you have finished updating the Ad Hoc Task’s information, click Save and Close.

The Ad Hoc task will appear at the bottom of the stage in the campaign that you are editing.

You can move the Ad Hoc task to other positions in the workflow within the stage that you are working. To move it simply single click and hold, then drag and drop the Ad Hoc task to another position in the stage where you are working.

Note: You cannot put an Ad Hoc task in between subtasks. They can only be put above or below standard or complex tasks.
