The first way will give you just the high level fields displayed on the View list, the second way is how you export all fields for Master data.
Option 1 – Using View Export to Excel
To export the View fields for the entity (just the common fields)
- Navigate to the Master Data entity in Agency Settings – eg Mediums
- Select Export to Excel on the ribbon toolbar
- Open the excel file and Unhide the first 3 columns (this will display the existing record IDs)
If you want to export the data to be used to re-import back to Advvy, you can select to Download Template and add additional column data. Refer to Advvy How To Import Master Data
Option 2 – Using Advanced Find
To export all the Advvy Fields for the entity
- Navigate to the Master Data entity in Agency Settings – eg Mediums
- Select Advanced Find (funnel icon on the coloured navigation bar to right)
A pop-out window displays with Look for: Medium and Status Equals: Active - Click Edit columns
- Click Add columns
- Check all the Advvy custom fields starting with a1a_. The best way to do this is by sorting by the name, and ticking anything with a1a_ in front of it. Press ok when finished.
- Click Results! to display the Active records.
- Click the Export Mediums button on the toolbar and from the drop down select Static Workbook.
- You’ve now downloaded the Medium entity field data.
- Open the excel file and Unhide the first 3 columns (this will display the existing record IDs)
Exporting Data is the first step to preparing the data for Bulk-editing and Importing.
Exiting data can be edited ie Rename a field, or change a related setting. New entries can be added to the bottom of the list (they will have blank cells for columns A.B,C).
