Managing Agency Notifications in Advvy
Advvy allows users to manage their own notifications via the “Agency Notifications” tab in their user records. Please ensure that you have reached out to your customer success manager to verify if notifications are active in your Advvy environment. If notifications are not active, users will not receive any notifications, even if they follow the steps below.
To view and manage notifications within Advvy follow these steps:
- In Advvy, click on “Agency” in the bottom left corner of the screen
- Select “Agency Settings” from the pop-up menu
- In the agency settings section, click on “Users” (under the security sub-section)
- Use the search bar in the top right corner of the screen to search for the user’s name you want to manage
- Click on the name of the user in the center of the screen when it appears, this will open the user record for that individual user
- Click on the “Agency Notifications” tab within the user profile.
Within this tab, there are two sections: “By Teams and By Email.” This represents where you will receive your notifications. Please be sure to check with your customer success manager which notifications are available for your Advvy environment.
In the “Agency Notifications” section users can select which notifications they want to receive.
To turn on any of these notifications, simply click the toggle to turn the notifications to yes. Make sure to save your changes.
Details on these notifications are as follows:
- Daily tasks: this is a summary of all of your tasks due in Advvy. Email or teams messages will be received every morning summarizing these tasks.
- Interested tasks: the user will receive a notification regarding all tasks they are interested in. Users can assign themselves as being interested in a task in the task form within Advvy.
- Assigned to task: each time a task is assigned to the current user, they will receive an email or teams message.
- Task completed by others: on a task record a user can add themselves to be notified once a task is complete. If this is set up by turning on these settings, the user will receive a notification when a task is completed by another user.
Important: To complete the notification set up, users need to set their Business Hours via the “Business Hours” tab within their user record, it’s located directly to the right of the “Agency Notifications” section.
Managing Business Hours in Advvy
Users can set their own business hours in to specify when they want to receive notifications.
To set business hours in Advvy, follow these steps:
- Follow steps 1-5 from above
- Click on the “Business Hours” tab
- Use the checkboxes to select the days of the week the user should receive notifications in Advvy
- Each time a checkbox is selected, it will reveal a “start” and “end” field for that day, which represents the time of day the user starts and ends working on that specific day
- Use the drop-down menu to select the hours and minutes the user starts and ends working. Please keep in mind that time is represented in military time. Advvy suggests selecting “9” for the start hour, and “17” for the End hour to reflect a 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. working schedule. Important: Be sure to select the minutes for each hour for a user’s start and end times. Users will most often select “00” for the minutes.
- Be sure to save your progress.
This functionality gives users the ability to control how they want to be notified regarding tasks in Advvy and during what hours they want to be notified. It will ensure that all tasks, either assigned to the user or that the user is interested in, can be closely monitored via Advvy’s notification system.
How to set up a user to receive daily email notification
Use this section as an example of how to set up email n0tifications from a user from start to finish. Users can use these steps as a foundation to customize their notifications settings and business hours as desired.
- In Advvy, click on “Agency” in the bottom left corner of the screen

- In the agency settings section, click on “Users” from the left navigation panel (under the security sub-section)
- Use the search bar in the top right corner of the screen to search for the user’s name you want to manage
- Click on the name of the user in the center of the screen when it appears, this will open the user record for that individual user
- Click on the “Agency Notifications” tab within the user profile.
- Toggle “Daily Tasks” so a Yes appears
- Click on the “Business Hours” tab
- Use the checkboxes to select the days of the week the user should receive notifications in Advvy
